The Maine Chapter of ASIS International is proud to announce the first annual Public Safety and Private Security Awards. The Maine Chapter is recognizing the dedication of the men and women who serve their community and employers on a daily basis. This year the Chapter will be awarding two awards, Maine State Security Officer of the Year & Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. The awards will be presented at our annual holiday dinner in December. The awards are to recognize an individual for their Service Excellence, Meritorious Action, or an Outstanding Achievement. Nominations for either award will be accepted until October 1, 2008. The awards committee will select the finalists for each category, and present them to the membership at the November meeting. Maine State Security Officer of the Year: The nominee must be employed in a line officer position or a non-management level supervisory position with the responsibility for providing security-related services to persons and/ or property.
Maine ASIS Law Enforcement Officer of the Year: The nominee must be a sworn officer of a Federal, State, County, or Local law enforcement agency in the State of Maine.
